Styling Short Hair with Glam Palm Clipless Curling Iron

WHO LIKES SHORT HAIR HERE?

Well, I'm not a fan of short hair, at all. However, lately I saw many women have a short haircut, without any layer, and it looks so simple. I was thinking to cut my hair at that length for months, but I didn't do it because I had a short haircut before (when I was about 12 years old), and I thought it's not looking good on me. Since that, I always have a long hair, and never think to make it short.

Before I went to summer holiday, I was planning to do a little "make over" to my hair, with a little bit hair cut and give them a bright color. However, the usual hair stylist who always cut my hair didn't come that day, and I met a new hair stylist (Yongki at Irwan Team Summarecon Mall Serpong). At that time, he gave me recommendation to make my hair short. He told me a short hair style is looking good on me, and it's making me looks fresh and younger. To be honest, he's the first hair stylist who said that. Before that, every hair stylist that I met always told me to keep my hair long. Suddenly I started to think about make it short, and yesss. It happened!!!

2 days after get a hair cut, I went to hair salon (again) to color my hair. This time I went to Habb Hair Gallery, because they have more options for hair color. At the first time, I only want to have a single bright color. But the hair stylist said that my hair was too dark, and if I want to have a bright color I need to bleach it. Actually, I never thought to bleach my hair again. I remember exactly how my hair got damage after the last time they got bleached to make it ombre. However he said that he only bleach some part of my hair (not all of them), only a highlight to give a bright effect. By doing that, it will reduce the risk of damage to my hair causes by bleaching.

At the end, here's the final look of my new hair style. Short, with little bit grey highlight on it. And to make this hairstyle looks better, I always curly my hair with GlamPalm Clipless Curling Iron Medium – GP 606 AM (25 mm). Ultimo Italian Restaurant, Seminyak - Bali

As I was saying at the previous post, I just had a Bali trip with my family for celebrating Aurelia’s 8^th birthday. I was so glad that she liked our “present” for her, especially when she knew we stayed at the luxury resort, Anantara Uluwatu. Nothing can make me feel happier than see the smile from my children.

 A birthday celebration, won’t be complete without a dinner. We’re looking for a good fine dining restaurant to celebrate this special moment. Since we gonna had dinner with children, we’re looking for a restaurant, which serves a child friendly menu. Finally, we decided to have a dinner at our favorite restaurant in Bali, Ultimo.

Ultimo is an Italian restaurant, located at Seminyak area. This is one of our favorite restaurant in Bali. Everytime we go to Bali, Ultimo is a must for us. Not just because of the delicacy of their dishes, but they also have an affordable price for that good quality food. They have a good interior for a fine dining restaurant. However, the ambience is quite not suitable for children. It has a low light, with a small space at indoor area. They do have an outdoor area which more spacious, and have live music too!! But as usual, outdoor area is a smoking area, and it’s not good for children.

Despite the ambience, we chose this restaurant because they serve Italian food which is our children’s favorite. They love pasta, a lot!! I’ve tried their pasta before, and I like it. And if I like it, so the children do. Beside the pasta, I also love to eat their seafood dishes. It was so fresh and also taste delicious.

First dish is the pasta. This time I decided to try their ravioli, which is stuffed with chicken. It was so tasty, and the pasta also cooked perfectly.  This ravioli is cooked with creamy sauce and mushroom, which make it taste better.

To be honest, this dish is quite disappointed. Even though the snapper was really fresh, but it was overcooked. The texture was too dry and not juicy at all. Beside that, the sauce also has a very strong taste, and too sour.

At the time we ordered, we didn’t see this menu. But the waitress was telling it’s one of their recommended dishes. Based on what he said, we decided to try it and it’s very very delicious. This platter contains squids, prawns, muscle, and it’s all grilled - my favorite cooking method all the time - and French fries for the side dish. I love grilled food especially for seafood dishes. This seafood was grilled perfectly, and also comes with less spices, so I could taste the flavor of the seafood itself. How tasty it is!!! Suddenly it reminds me with grilled seafood dishes from Cerveseria Catalana which is also very fresh, and delicious.

Not just the foods, we love their bestseller beverages too. I don’t know what does it called, because we didn’t see it on the menu. We just saw every table had this drink, so I asked the waitress to make the same. This beverage is exactly the same with the one that we got at Nervino Dieci Trattoria, Milan. It made with full of sorbet and it’s really fresh. The only difference is the flavor. While in Milan they only have watermelon flavor, UItimo has more options for that. This time I tried the mango flavor and it wasn’t disappointed at all. It was really good and fresh. You really need to try it when have a dinner at Ultimo.

Ultimo is the right place for you who are looking for a fine dining yet affordable restaurant. You can reach this place by short walking from Seminyak Village. Since this restaurant has many tables, reservation is not necessary. Except if you want to celebrate a special occasion, with many peoples on your group.

Red Outfit for Chinese New Year

Hey dear!!!!

I gonna share with you about my outfit for the last Chinese New Year. First of all, I wanna say “Happy Chinese New Year”, for everyone who celebrate it. Hope you have a wealthy and prosperous year on this "Year of Dog".

Well, it’s been a tradition in my family (I thought everyone too), to wear new clothes at Chinese New Year day. Not just outfit, we also use a new bedsheet and towel in this special day. For some reasons, we believe it will give us a new luck at the new year. 

Chinese New Year identic with red color. Yess, it is. It makes most peoples wear red outfit when celebrating Chinese New Year. However, it's not happened to me. I never wore red outfit at CNY before because i feel not confident in wearing bright color outfit. But this time, i found a beautiful dress, in red color, but it’s not bright at all. It’s little bit dark, more like maroon.

I bought this dress from Topshop, one of my favorite clothing brand. It looks chic and elegant with lace fabrics, and i love it!! For the shoes, I used nude color shoes from Melissa X Karl Lagerfeld. Perfect with the dress..

Anyway, for my lips, I used Kylie Lip Matte in Kristen from Kylie Cosmetics. It supposed to be has a bright red color with some orange touch. But I don't know why it looks darker on my lips. Do you think so???

Feelin' Blue

If you ask me what my favorite color, PINK is the answer!! But, i don't have a lot of pink outfit. It looks tacky for me. So, what's my favorite color for my outfit? It's BLUE!!

I always like to wear blue outfit. It looks great on me. Especially when i combine with white color.

Just like today, i'm wearing White Crop Top from MDS . It fits very well with my Blue Skirt from Topshop
