Le Soufflé, Rue du Mont Thabor - Paris

Are you looking for the best soufflé in Paris? Then you should go to the Le Soufflé. Located near the Place Vendôme, this restaurant serves the most delicious soufflé in Paris. No wonder you need to make reservation a few days before, especially if you have a big party in your group.

We're going to Le Soufflé for late lunch, around 2 pm after had a nice stroll at Cours-la-Reine. First time we entered the restaurant, we felt surprised because the place was really small. However, the interior is so beautiful, simple and chic. It makes a quite atmosphere and we like it.

They have a variety of menus to choose, and the waitress well explained to us about the food. We ordered a main course, and soufflé (of course!!). Unlike another restaurants who only serve sweet soufflé as a dessert, Le Soufflé also serves savory soufflé as appetizer and main course. I was curious about the taste of savory soufflé. That's the reason why I want to eat here.

Even though the lamb chops has a small cut, but it tasted good. The meat was juicy and tender. I like to eat that especially with the sauce. Yummm.

Soufflé Henri IV Sauce Volaille aux Champignons €16

My choice for the savory soufflé was the cheese soufflé with sliced chicken and mushroom sauce. It was the first time i ate savory soufflé and i totally like it!!! Cheesy flavor inside the soufflé, mixed with the creamy mushroom sauce, that's a perfect combination. The sliced chicken also cooked perfectly. It's so tender and really match with the sauce. It's amazing...

Another recommend menu is Soufflé Pistachio with Chocolate sauce (€11) I ordered this soufflé as a dessert. It has a fluffy texture and the right consistency. When i ate that, it's just like melting inside my mouth. Pistachio flavor on the souffle (which not too strong), mixed with the chocolate sauce, it's a perfect combination. It's not too sweet as i was thinking before. Everything in this soufflé, make it become the best soufflé i ever ate.

I was really satisfied with all the foods they served. Just for infomation, their soufflé has a very big portion. If you're not in hungry mood, I strongly recommend you to order the soufflé for share. The price little bit too pricey, but it's all worth with the taste.

58 Tour Eiffel, Eiffel Tower - Paris

When I searched for restaurants in Europe, I didn't just see from the taste of food. I'm also looking for a restaurant with a nice place and view. When I know there is a restaurant in the Eiffel Tower, without thinking I immediately booked a place to have a lunch here.

There are 4 restaurants at Eiffel Tower. But the famous are Le Jules Verne and Le 58 Tour Eiffel. I chose 58 Tour Eiffel instead Le Jules Verne, because it's located at the 1st floor. So i can enjoy the view of Trocadero clearly. Le Jules Verne located at the 2nd floor of Eiffel Tower. I think it's too high for enjoy the view. However, some peoples said that the food at Le Jules Verne is more delicious than at 58 Tour Eiffel.

For have a lunch / dinner, you need to make a reservation. While I was there, it was on July and it's holiday season. I needed to make a reservation about 3 months before, for make sure we will get a table. When you make a reservation  (on the website), you need to pay the total amount with credit card. I paid €41,5 for adults, and €19 for child. Each of us will get 3 dishes, appetizer, main course, and dessert. Anyway, you don't need to buy the lift ticket to go to this restaurant. You just need to show the print out of your booking confirmation at the counter, and they will give you a ticket to go to the 1st floor (you can get the ticket 15 minutes before the time).

They have a friendly atmosphere, and it's really suitable for having lunch with family. When we arrived, the waitress gave us the menu. We could choose what we wanted for the appetizer, main course, and dessert.

It didn't take a long time for us to wait. They served all together. While we're waiting, there's a woman came to take our pictures. She offered us to print out the pictures. However, it costs too expensive. So we didn't take it.

58 Tour Eiffel offers a cuisine which is both simple and tasty with a picnic lunch style. Overall, the food was not bad. I like all the food i ordered. The pasta cooked very well. My favorite was the panna cotta. It has the right consistency, and i love it. They also served a big portion, until all of us couldn't finish the food (but i finished my panna cotta :P). Well, is it worth for have a lunch here by paying €41,5??? I will answer, "Yes." It's gonna be a wonderful experience for your holiday.

UNION Brasserie, Bakery and Bar at Street Gallery, Pondok Indah

Last month, i went to UNION at Street Gallery with my family. Its located at Pondok Indah and connected with Pondok Indah Mall 1 & 2. We were going on weekday, so we could get a table without waiting.

First time I saw the place, I think it is not good for children. Its quite dark and crowded. They also said that after 4pm, all the rooms will be free to smoke. But when I saw the rooms inside, I think it's ok to eat there, because they have a large door open. So the smoke will be not smelled by us. Otherwise, i also feel curious with their food - people said that they have very delicious food.

It only take a few minutes to see the menu. They make the menu simple. Doesn't like another italian restaurant which use italian language for their menu.

I ordered "escargot" for the appetizer. I love escargot, but its little bit hard to find escargot in Jakarta.

The escargot is really good. It is chewy and salty. Although they only use butter and garlic to make, but it tasted delicious. 1 portion isn't enough for me.

For the mains, i ordered pasta (it's a request from Aurelia). It's a spaghetti, cooked with alba truffle sauce, pork crackling and bacon lardons. Sounds good~~

When it was coming, i didn't think it's a good dish. The presentation is just so so. Not impressive. I only saw the white creamy spaghetti with some pork crackling on top. Looks nothing special. I tried a bit before gave it to Aurelia. Surprisingly, it's so tasty. The saltiness of the truffle sauce, and the savoury of the pork, make it perfect. It's not a big portion, but it's also not too small. However, my daughter can finished that all. She said that it was yummy!!!

Another dish that we ordered is pan seared duck breast with cranberry sauce and roast vegetables. It was one of their recommendations for the western food.

The presentation is really good. Unless the roast vegetables which they put in a bowl. It looks "black", and i didn't feel interested to eat that. I ate a bite of the duck breast. It's so tender and juicy. The duck ia cooked very well. But i don't like the sauce. It doesn't taste like cranberry, even more feels like BBQ sauce.

Actually we also ordered the pizza which use the wood-fired oven to cook it. But there was a mistake so we canceled it.

Beside the restaurant, they also have a bar and bakery. My friend always recommend their "Red Velvet" cake. However my tummy was really full, and the Red Velvet has a big cut. And i saw another interesting food, cronut..

There are 2 kinds of cronuts, chocolate and cinnamon. I chose cinnamon cronut. It looks tastier than cronut with chocolate on top. In fact, the cronut is out of my expectation. It's crispy, and taste really good. There's a lot of sugar  (with cinnamon powder maybe) at the cronut, and i like that. Even i ordered 1 more cronut to take away.

I'm so satisfied with all the foods here. The price also not too expensive, worth it with the taste of their foods. I'll come back again next time, and make sure i can try their "wood-fired pizza".
