Hi all! How are you doing??
Today is Chinese New Year's Eve and if you celebrate it, today must be your busy day. Buy new clothes, get a hair cut, prepare for family dinner, all of those things will keep you busy until tomorrow, you'll do an excited thing - collect hong bao. Well, I also have same things to do. But in the midst of my busy day, I just did something that maybe I think you gonna like it. That thing is :

"UPLOAD THE FIRST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE"

You might be think that I want to change my job become a vlogger. But it's not. There are many reasons why I started to make a vlog. First, I made this video for fun, and as a memory of our traveling journey. For these past few years, my family and I had a lot of trip and we want to create good memories of them. Another video will uploaded soon, and make sure you subscribe on my Youtube channel. 

Does this Gucci belt bag lookin' good on me?

The next reason was because of Aurelia (my daughter). It's been a while since she talked to me that she want to have a Youtube channel. If you know me, personally, you'll know that I'm not a creative person. I can't make a good content for a video. But few days ago, I just opened my files and found some short videos that recorded with my camera (Sony A6000) when we're having a staycation at Anantara Uluwatu, Bali. It was last year, and we had this staycation as a present for Aurelia's 8th birthday. Tomorrow, is Aurelia gonna be turn 9th, and that's the reason why I made this video - as a birthday present for my daughter.

The last reason, I decided to make a vlog to support my blog content. So my Youtube channel is not just about my travel journey. Instead, I also gonna make videos about beauty, food, and other things that happened in my life (which usually I just write it on my blog). If you have a request for me, you can write on the comment below. I really appreciate it and I'll try my best to make the video.

At the end, I just want to congratulate myself for this video. It might not as perfect as other vlogger's video. But hey, it's just the beginning and I still learn of it. I don't know how it's going, but as I always say, "I'll never stop to learn new things - for a better life."

Ultimo Italian Restaurant, Seminyak - Bali

As I was saying at the previous post, I just had a Bali trip with my family for celebrating Aurelia’s 8^th birthday. I was so glad that she liked our “present” for her, especially when she knew we stayed at the luxury resort, Anantara Uluwatu. Nothing can make me feel happier than see the smile from my children.

 A birthday celebration, won’t be complete without a dinner. We’re looking for a good fine dining restaurant to celebrate this special moment. Since we gonna had dinner with children, we’re looking for a restaurant, which serves a child friendly menu. Finally, we decided to have a dinner at our favorite restaurant in Bali, Ultimo.

Ultimo is an Italian restaurant, located at Seminyak area. This is one of our favorite restaurant in Bali. Everytime we go to Bali, Ultimo is a must for us. Not just because of the delicacy of their dishes, but they also have an affordable price for that good quality food. They have a good interior for a fine dining restaurant. However, the ambience is quite not suitable for children. It has a low light, with a small space at indoor area. They do have an outdoor area which more spacious, and have live music too!! But as usual, outdoor area is a smoking area, and it’s not good for children.

Despite the ambience, we chose this restaurant because they serve Italian food which is our children’s favorite. They love pasta, a lot!! I’ve tried their pasta before, and I like it. And if I like it, so the children do. Beside the pasta, I also love to eat their seafood dishes. It was so fresh and also taste delicious.

First dish is the pasta. This time I decided to try their ravioli, which is stuffed with chicken. It was so tasty, and the pasta also cooked perfectly.  This ravioli is cooked with creamy sauce and mushroom, which make it taste better.

To be honest, this dish is quite disappointed. Even though the snapper was really fresh, but it was overcooked. The texture was too dry and not juicy at all. Beside that, the sauce also has a very strong taste, and too sour.

At the time we ordered, we didn’t see this menu. But the waitress was telling it’s one of their recommended dishes. Based on what he said, we decided to try it and it’s very very delicious. This platter contains squids, prawns, muscle, and it’s all grilled - my favorite cooking method all the time - and French fries for the side dish. I love grilled food especially for seafood dishes. This seafood was grilled perfectly, and also comes with less spices, so I could taste the flavor of the seafood itself. How tasty it is!!! Suddenly it reminds me with grilled seafood dishes from Cerveseria Catalana which is also very fresh, and delicious.

Not just the foods, we love their bestseller beverages too. I don’t know what does it called, because we didn’t see it on the menu. We just saw every table had this drink, so I asked the waitress to make the same. This beverage is exactly the same with the one that we got at Nervino Dieci Trattoria, Milan. It made with full of sorbet and it’s really fresh. The only difference is the flavor. While in Milan they only have watermelon flavor, UItimo has more options for that. This time I tried the mango flavor and it wasn’t disappointed at all. It was really good and fresh. You really need to try it when have a dinner at Ultimo.

Ultimo is the right place for you who are looking for a fine dining yet affordable restaurant. You can reach this place by short walking from Seminyak Village. Since this restaurant has many tables, reservation is not necessary. Except if you want to celebrate a special occasion, with many peoples on your group.

Outfit for Traveling in Summer

Which one do you prefer on traveling? Summer or winter? Personally, i like to travel in summer. Not because the weather itself. I live in Jakarta, a tropical city. So i know exactly how bad it is to walk in outdoor places, under the scorching sun.

Well, why do i like to travel in summer? Because i can wear a fashionable clothes, change it every day, and take photos at different places with different look. Can you imagine if you travel at winter? You’ll wear the same coat everyday. No matter where’d you go, you’ll take pictures with the same look. OK, just say you’ll bring another coat as a spare, or maybe you buy a new coat. But still, you’ll still gonna take pictures when you’re wearing the same outfit. For me, it’s not a good things because in most of your photos, you’ll look the same, and it’s kinda boring!!!

When i was in Europe, all of my outfit has been planned. Because travel to Europe is not easy for me, and we probably will not back to Europe any time soon. So i want my pictures looks great (with different outift) in every city, especially when we’re visiting the landmark.

Wearing different outfit everyday, doesn’t mean change all of them. I just mix and match my outfit so it won’t look same and boring. A little tips from me, bring a plain top / bottom, with natural color such as black or white. It’s gonna be easy to combine it with another outfit. Like at this picture, i’m wearing a long white denim pants from Zara. I wore this pants a lot while in Europe. Some of you will not realize it because every time i wear this pants, i always change the top. White color is really easy to be matched. I can match it with any color and any motif for the top.

Wearing a gorgeous outfit is important for me, but it also need to be comfortable. I don’t want to wear a wrong outfit because it’s gonna turn my mood down. Since i know the weather gonna be freakin hot in Europe (especially Italy), so i decided to bring many crop top. But my favorite is this crop top from Monki, which i bought at Granville Road in Hong Kong. With chiffon fabric, it’s really comfortable and perfect for summer.

When traveling, i prefer to use a small sling bag because it's simple and easy to brought. I got this cute sling bag from VNC. Not only because the model, i use this bag because it has a zip under the flap. It becomes a double protection for my stuff, and it's really important when you travel in Europe. For the footwear, i just wear a flat shoes which has the same color with my bag. Actually wearing flat shoes is not a good option for traveling. But this flat shoes which i bought at New Look, really comfortable and very simple. I could walk all the day without feel tired.

Feelin' Blue

If you ask me what my favorite color, PINK is the answer!! But, i don't have a lot of pink outfit. It looks tacky for me. So, what's my favorite color for my outfit? It's BLUE!!

I always like to wear blue outfit. It looks great on me. Especially when i combine with white color.

Just like today, i'm wearing White Crop Top from MDS . It fits very well with my Blue Skirt from Topshop
