 Hi chingu!! It's been a while I didn't post any new blog post about beauty products. It's because I haven't found something that I really love. Some products that I tried lately always have a "minus" and I don't want to recommend it. But a few weeks ago, I just tried a new beauty product from Korean beauty brand and I really fall for it. At this post I gonna talk completely about it.

As you know, I always have problem with dehyrated skin. I've found some products that could solve this problem such as Laneige Sleeping Mask. But I think I need more hydrating product that I can use in every skincare routine, not just at night. So I was searching about a hydrating toner which I can use everyday, twice a day, to make my skin keep hydrated. Actually it's not the first time I was looking for hydrating toner. I've tried some hydrating toner before but as I was saying, it's not the perfect one. Some of them is too thick, and even have a bad / strong fragrance. 

When I was searching about a good hydrating toner, I found out about Hayejin - a Korean beauty brand. It's a new beauty brand, so it's not as famous as other Korean beauty brand such as Laneige, Some by Mi, Nature Republic, etc. But their products have lots of good reviews, especially "Blessing of Sprout" series. So I decided to give it a try, and I really in love with it at the first time I tried.

Hayejin Blessing of Sprout Radiance Toner is a toner that can be used to hydrate and brighten your skin at the same time. This toner is hypoallergenic and also can be used for all skintypes. It's a perfect toner to be used everyday and you can put it at your morning & night skincare routine.

What I like from Hayejin Blessing of Sprout Radiance Toner

1. The texture!! This toner has the best texture I ever try. It looks like a gel, but it's not too thick. So it can hydrates your skin without make it becomes oily. I'd said the texture is watery gel, and it can be absorbed by your skin easily.

2. The smell. It has a "calm" fragrance and I love it very much. I can feel a "fancy" ambience which also calming at the same time, everytime I apply it on my skin.

3. The brightening effect seen at the first try. You might not believe it, neither do I. But I was really feel it. First time I used it was at night, and at the next morning my face looks so glowing.

I got new skin problems when I'm going 30, and this is how I treat it (Part 2 : Pimples and Freckles)

The best exfoliating toner to get rid of pimples

Hi all,
Welcome to the part 2 of this topic. This time I'll write about the skin problems which really confusing me - pimples and freckles. Why is it so confusing? It's because of 2 reasons :

1. I never have any problems with pimples in my whole life, so I have no idea how to treat it wisely. I only had some pimples when it's my "period time" or when I tried new skincare which not suitable on my skin. But those pimples, will be gone soon - unlike the new pimples that never gone for more than 2 months.

2. Freckles (dark spot) always be my problem since I was a kid. I got my first freckles at 10 years old, and I still haven't found any products that could get rid of them. All I know the only way to get rid of this dark spot by doing a laser treatment, and I'm not brave enough to do it. Now, suddenly, these freckles appear a lot, on my cheek bones. Well, it's not as "dark" as my previous freckles, so I only can see these freckles at the very bright place. Even though these freckles still could be covered with foundation and concealer, but I feel very inconvenient to have it. Because my goal is having a clear - glass skin.

How do I treat pimples and freckles???

Pimples
This is the most confusing problems because I'm not friendly with skincare for acne prone. Besides, I also afraid if I change my skin care into products for acne prone, it will make my dry skin getting worse - because usually acne prone identic with oily skin. I've found a great skin care - a toner precisely- which really effective to get rid of pimples. It's Some By Mi 30 Days Miracle Toner. I've used this exfoliating toner since last year, and it makes my pimple gone at the very short time. However, I just found out this toner has ingredients which not supposed to be used under the sunlight. The usage of this toner under the sunlight will cause appearance of dark spots. Therefore, I just use it at my night skin care routine.

At this moment, I need a toner for morning use and I have no idea what to use. I've tried the bestseller toner - Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Toner, but after use this, pimples kept appear on my face so I stopped it. At the end I heard about a toner with many good reviews, and I directly go to Sephora when I was having holiday in Malaysia to find out about this toner. I'm pretty sure you're all very familiar with this toner - Pixi Glow Tonic. There are 3 versions of Pixi Glow Tonic : the original (with orange color liquid), Rose, and Lavender. I asked the differences between them both, and I was surprised with the answer. She told me the original one contains Glycolic Acid which works to get rid of acne scars. It's totally perfect with what I need right now. The other good thing about this toner is even though it's an exfoliating toner, but it also can hydrate your skin. I have use it for more than a month on my morning skin care routine, and it shows a good progress to get rid of my acne scars.

Freckles
When I say "how to treat it", it doesn't mean I get rid of it all clearly. I just try to find out how to reduce the appearance, because freckles can't be gone easily. You need to do a special treatment, within a long period of time. This treatment also not cheap so I'd think twice to do it. While some serum (such as Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum) could be used to reduce dark spots, but it takes a very long time and you need to use it regularly - literally everyday. Meanwhile, at this time I'm using other serum that can get rid of fine lines - which is the main problem on my skin right now.

So, how do I treat this freckles? I tried to prevent the appearance of other new dark spots, by protecting my skin with sunscreen. I know and everybody know that sunlight is the main reason for the appearance of dark spots, and we need to protect our skin from this harmful light. However, I don't like - precisely hate - to using sunscreen because they have a greasy and oily texture. They can be absorbed on skin perfectly and will ruin my make up look. For this reason, I live for 27 years without using any sunscreen, even though I live at the tropical country - Indonesia.

The best Japanese sunscreen : Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence

Lately, I heard some good reviews about a sunscreen from Japanese drugstore - Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence. It's nominated as the best sunscreen because it has a very light texture and won't leave any greasy feeling after using it. Well, I didn't trust it easily because I'm not familiar with Japan Cosme and I didn't want to waste my money to buy another sunscreen which I'm not gonna use, and it just ended at the rubish bin like the other sunscreen. However, looking at my skin condition with many freckles makes me sad and I decided to give it a try. Actually I've been looking for this sunscreen since last March, when I was having holiday in Japan. But with many things to buy in Japan, I was forgot to buy this sunscreen, and start to remember it again when I was in Kuala Lumpur. At that moment, I found it at Watsons Malaysia where you can found any kind of the popular Japanese products. I've tried the sunscreen, and it has a texture like other people said. It's very light and not leave any greasy feeling like I found at other sunscreen. Ever since then, I never forget to use sunscreen every morning and I also told Aurelia to use this sunscreen, to prevent the appearance of dark spots on the face.

I got new skin problems when I'm going 30, and this is how I treat it (Part 1 : Wrinkles)

Have you read my previous blogpost?? Well, at that post I wrote that I have a lot of beauty content that I'd write on my blog. I had this because of one reason : Lately I got so much problem on my skin, and I need to change (almost all) my skincare. It's been few months for me to try those new skincare, and I'm ready to review all of them. For the next few days, I'll write some posts about reviews of those products, based on the problems that I had. This topic will be divided into 3 parts, where each parts will discuss about 1 problem. First, I'll write about the main problems that I really worry about, and I didn't expect to get it when I'm going 30.

Fine lines, smile lines, wrinkles
OK, I start with the worst skin problem, which I shouldn't get on my age (I just 27). But these things are real!! I had fine lines before (precisely few years ago), and I could get rid of them by using SK II Facial Treatment Essence. Ever since then, I never forget to put this product into my skincare routine.

A few months ago, I started to see a smile line appearance on my face, and it's really disturbing. It always make a crack after few hours I wear make up and its horrible. Not just that, I also spot some fine lines under my eyes, which also disturbing as well. Since I saw these lines, I changed my skincare from brightening products into anti aging products. At this point I realized one thing,

"Step into 30 years old, you need skincare with anti aging effects more than brightening effects. Because you can use make up to make your face looks brighten instantly, but it's really hard to cover wrinkle and any fine lines on your face."

Therefore, I changed my serum and also my eye cream. For the serum, I use Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior 2-in-1 Plumping Moisturizer + Serum in the morning and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair for at night. These products known as the best anti aging skincare with medium range price (not cheap but also not too expensive), compared to other brand such as SK II. These serums work really well, and they reduce the appearance of smile lines. I love Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior - because as you can read on its name, it contains moisturizer and serum in 1 bottle. So it's perfect to be used at the morning rush. However, this product is not really hydrating. Therefore, I use other product for at night, which more hydrating - Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.

To be honest, I've been eyeing on this product for a long time. Almost everyone put this serum on their night skincare routine. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair promising to treat any skin problems, while you're sleeping at night. Smoother, more radiant, and younger look, those sounds amazing and I really need it. As people said, this serum is really works. I wake up every morning with smooth and bright skin, and it also helps to reduce the fine lines. However, there's one thing that I don't like from this serum, it's the smell. There's no any fragrance added on this serum, so the smell comes from the main ingredients and it's not good. It smells like rubber or plastic, and sometimes it makes me almost throw up. But since this product really works to treat my skin problems, I'll keep using it and put it on my night skincare routine.

The jar size of Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream is so "mini". Easy to bring for traveling.

Besides serum, I also change my eye cream. As you know, my very first eye cream was SK II Stempower Eye Cream - which really can be used to reduce wrinkle around my eyes, and then I changed into Caudalie Premier Cru The Eye Cream - which known as an eyecream that helps to loose dark circle. Well, this time I try new eye cream which promising could get rid of any problems around your eyes such as dark circle, wrinkle, and even puffy eyes. It's Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme. At the first time I was really surprised to see the "Before - After" picture of this eye cream. I have these problems for years and I still couldn't find any eye cream that could fix it. Therefore, when I found out about this eye cream, I have feelings it can help me out. And it's true! Even though still there's some fine lines, but the dark circle under my eyes start to disappeared. I've use this eye cream for a month, and it shows a good progress. So far this is the best eye cream I ever tried, and I think it's gonna be my favorite eye cream.

My skincare to get rid of wrinkles and any fine lines on my face

Well, that's all the new products that I use to treat the appearance of wrinkles on my face. I really satisfied with the result and would recommend this anti aging products for all of you who's just going to 30 years old.

Cleansing, The Most Important Step on Your Skin Care Routine

It's really important to take care of your skin since from young ages. Full skin care routine is very needed to get a healthy and beautiful skin. Many people has different skin care routine to take care of their skin, depend on their skin problems. However, from many steps of skin care, there's one most important step that can't be missed. It's cleansing.

Cleansing more often considered as a not really important step in skin care routines. Usually people will be more focus on serum or cream usage. They think that applying skin care is the key to get a beautiful skin, but it's not. Cleansing is the most important step, that's why it always be the first step on skin care routine. Applying skin care on a dirty skin, only make your skin worse. No matter what, make sure you have a very clean skin before start to use your skin care.

To get a clean skin, you can't just wash it with a facial foam. Especially after using make up. You need to clean it with a few steps of cleanser (known as double cleansing) before start applying skin care. This is an example of double cleansing that I do everyday, with my favorite cleansing products.

1. Remove all makeup on your face
You can skip this step of you don't use any makeup on that day. However, if you wear a makeup, this step is really important to do. A simple cleanser will not clean your makeup properly. You need to use a makeup remover which contains a special ingredients to clean your makeup, even if it's waterproof type. I like to use Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover for this step, because unlike another makeup remover, the formula is very gently and clean my eye makeup perfectly.

2. Clean the whole face with your favorite cleanser
Before wash your face, you need to clean the whole face with a "special" cleanser. No matter you're wearing makeup or not, this step is a must things to do. Nowadays, there are several type of cleanser such as cleansing oil, cleansing water, or cleansing balm. You can use any type of cleanser based on what you need. If you have a dry skin type, you might want to use cleansing oil. However if you have an oily skin type, you might want to use cleansing water which contains no oil. Personally, I choose to use cleansing water instead if cleansing oil, even though I have a dry skin type. Because if I use cleansing oil as a cleanser, I feel my face is very greasy, and I didn't think it's a good idea to have an oily face after cleansing. For this step, I choose to use cleansing water from Laneige. I love this cleansing water because it really clean my face very well. And like other Laniege's products, this cleanser has a gently formula with a soft smell which makes me feel relax after using it.

3. Wash you face with a facial wash
Well, I think everyone will do this step because generally this step known as the only way to clean your face. I really understand it because it's really simple and even you can do it at the time when you're taking a shower. But sometimes people also skip this step because they thought after using cleanser, their skin is already clean. But it's not. Though you didn't see any makeup or dirt left after using cleanser, you still need to wash it with a facial wash and water, to make it really clean and feel fresh.

For this cleansing step, I choose Hada Labo Shirojyun Ultimate Whitening Face Wash. Hada Labo is a skin care brand from Japan. But this facial wash, is a product that produced by Hada Labo Indonesia. To be honest, it's really hard for me to get a perfect facial wash. I have a dry and very sensitive skin. Every time I washed my face, it felt very tight, even sometimes I felt hurt especially on cheek area. But, I don't feel any same effects with this facial wash. It cleans my face without make it dehydrated. It also doesn't contain any fragrance which is really good for a sensitive skin like I have.

4. Last step, facial toner!
When you're done with washing your face, it doesn't mean you face is totally clean. You need to do the last step of cleansing by using facial toner. There are 2 types of facial toner, for exfoliating and hydrating. Exfoliating toner is perfect for oily and acne prone skin type. Meanwhile, if you have a dry or dehydrated skin type, hydrating toner is a good option for you.

Some By Mi 30 Days Miracle Toner

Honestly, I started to put facial toner into my skin care routine for these past few months. I just realized about how important facial toner is. The first toner that I used was Some By Mi 30 Days Miracle Toner , which works as an exfoliating toner. However, since using that facial toner made my skin getting dry, I decided to use a hydrating toner - Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner (will write a review about it soon).

Hi all, I'm back again with skin care review. If you follow my instagram, you'd see that last month I posted on insta stories, that I was going to do "30 days challenge" with Some By Mi. You might be curious about it, or some of you might be already know what it is about. Well, I gonna write a full  review about it on this post.

Lately, a beauty junkie are being excited with the newest skin care brand from Korea, Some By Mi. This brand really famous for their "miracle" products, 30 Days Miracle Toner and 30 Days Miracle Cleansing Bar. These products reclaims that they can give a "clean - healthy" skin, and you can see the result only in 30 days. WOW!!! Who's not interested with it?? I can guarantee it's every woman's dream to have a beautiful skin.

Knowing about the good benefit of these products, I decided to give it a try. But as a first step, I tried to use the toner first. To be honest, I never put toner into my skin care routine, until one day I realized how important toner is, and I decided to start using it. When I was looking for a good toner, I heard about 30 Days Miracle Toner, and I thought it's a perfect time to try it.

It always sealed

30 Days Miracle Toner contains AHA, BHA, PHA, and Niacinamide 2%. All of these ingredients known as a good ingredients to exfoliate dead skin cells, enlarged pores, and make your skin become acne free. Beside those ingredients, this Miracle Toner also contains "Real Teatree 10.000 PPM". With all of these ingredients, 30 Days Miracle Toner promising :
- remove acne, blackhead, and also whitehead
- exfoliate dead skin cells
- clean any excess sebum from pores
- brighten your skin

Honestly I always avoid to use skincare for acne prones, because it usually makes skin become dry. FYI, I have a very sensitive and dry skin. Otherwise, I never have a problem with acne before. However, since I got little bit problem with acne after used Natural Pacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence, and also this Miracle Toner can be used for all skin types, I keep go with it, and do this 30 days challenge to see the result of this product.

As you can see on the pictures above, this toner really works to brighten my skin. All the acnes also gone, without make any scar. I could see the good result of this product from the first time I use. Everytime I use it, it really removes blackheads especially on my nose area. Even though not all of them, but it still helps to clean my skin.

Does this product makes my skin dry??
I couldn't answer it in one word. At the first 3 weeks of usage, it wasn't make my skin become dry. It felt tight, but I thought it's still normal. After that, I had a trip to Canada, which has unpredictable extreme weather. Sometimes hot, and sometimes it could get much colder. This weather made skin all over my body became dry, including my face. At that time I was thinking this toner could make it worse, and stop to used it for a while, until I came back to Jakarta.
By that time my skin still very dry, but I decided to use this toner again. I thought it's gonna be different because I was back at Jakarta with its humid weather. It's been more than 1 week after I started to use it again, but my skin still dry and felt very tight. I have used other products to hydrates my skin such as Laneige Water Sleeping Pack and sheet mask, but it doesn't work.

Well, I'm not sure whether this toner make my dry skin condition become worse or not, but for now I decided to stop the usage of this Miracle Toner for a while. Meanwhile, I tried to use other toner specialized for dry skin type, and hopefully I can get my moist skin back. But from this challenge I could say 1 thing about this toner. "It does help to loose any acnes and other "dirt" on your face. It also make your face get brighter for sure. If you don't have any problem with dry skin, and you want to have a beautiful skin, this Miracle Toner is very recommended."

Lastly about this toner, some of you might be notice there are 2 types of packaging of this toner. You might think one of them is the fake one, but it's not!! Some by Mi just renewed the cap, but all the ingredients that they used still the same.
