It's November already, which means 1 month to go to the busiest month of the year. Final exams,  Christmas, winter holiday, and there are more things to prepare at this time. However, in between my full schedule, I make a little time to write this blogpost, because I'm so amazed with this beauty product. Well, it comes from my favorite brand (lately), which is Ole Henriksen. After I feel a good result from Ole Henriksen Lemon Facial Peel, I started to search more about other products from this brand. I've tried the eye cream which works very well on me (click here to read more about it), and then I found something that sounds great from this American beauty brand. It's Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Creme. I heard about this product last year, precisely at December 2018. At that time, it was a new product and luckily, I could find it easily at Sephora Australia. Another luck for me, at that moment I was having holiday in Sydney. So I didn't want to missed any chance with this interesting product, and I just put it on my shopping basket. Yup, I'm a #beautyaddict

Looking at the picture above, you might be shock with the price. $90 for a jar of night cream, it's not cheap at all. Therefore, I put a big expectation on this product. And as I was saying, it didn't disappointed at all. Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Creme is a cream that you use at night, during your sleep time. As you know, when you're sleeping at night, your skin will be at "repair mode", and it will looks fresher in the morning. This sleeping cream helps to maximize the process by exfoliating the skin surface and make it glowing. It contains AHA and bakuchiol - which is a plant based alternative to retinol. With this formula, the usage of this cream can be used to treat any signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and freckles.

Besides those main ingredients, this sleeping creme also contains Edelweiss stem cell which helps to firm and improve elasticity. Therefore, after use this cream overnight, you can see the result right at the next morning. A bright, glowing and deeply hydrated skin - is yours.

Why I love Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Creme?
First, of course because if the result which I could see immediately. Second, it's because of the smell. The smell of this cream is absolutely lovely. It comes with sweet fragrance - like a bubble gum I guess, which is good to relax your mind while you're sleeping. And can you see the color? It's purple! How cute it is. It's the first time for me to see a skincare with purple color. The texture is quite thick and greasy, but it's still acceptable and perfect for night usage when you're skin needs to be more hydrated.

Exfoliate & hydrate at the same time with Ole Henriksen Lemon Facial Peel

Hola.. 

This time I have a very very great news for you, who have a dry skin type. So, I just found a new skincare product, which can exfoliate and hydrate your skin at the same time. WOW!! I know, it sounds amazing right?? The product that I was talking about is Instant Transformation Lemon Facial Peel by Ole Henriksen.

This brand might be not familiar for you, unless you're a skincare addict which have a good knowledge about all skincare brands. I also never heard about this brand before, until I went to Canada last summer, and visited Sephora stores. Ole Henriksen doesn't have many variant for its products, but all products that they have looks promising. I started to googling about their bestseller products and also the reviews. I found several products from Ole Henriksen that really works for some peoples, and decided to give them a try. One of them is this facial peel, which promising for brightening effect.

Clear gel texture of Ole Henriksen Lemon Facial Peel

Ole Henriksen Lemon Facial Peel comes with a clear gel texture, and I could find a very strong smell of lemon in it. This facial peel also comes with a round brush, that can be used to spread this gel on your face. To give a brightening effect, it used glycolic and lactic acids (AHAs) which are good to resurface skin texture and skin tone as well. Not just for brightening, this facial peel also can be used to reduce fine lines and wrinkle which I really need right now.

How to use?
Take an enough amount of the facial peel with brush. Apply it on your face that has been cleaned and let it create a thin layer on it. Wait for 10 minutes. At this time your skin will start to tingle, but that's fine. It's just an indication that the formula is getting to work. After 10 minutes, clean with lukewarm water.

After do all of those simple steps, you'll feel an instant transformation on your face. Your skin become very smooth and also looks brighten. At this moment, I like to keep touching my face because it feels very clean, but it's not dry at all.

To be honest, I barely buy an exfoliating producs because usually it will make my skin get drier. However, since I always tempted with brightening products, I decided to try this and I was really surprised with the result. Unlike other peeling products which mostly cause a redness, tight skin, and even a flaky skin, this Ole Henriksen lemon facial peel is very hydrating.

Anyway, even though this facial peel can be used for hydrating, but you still need a moisturizer after peeling. And don't forget to follow with sunscreen in the morning. Because this product contains Alpha Hydroxil Acid (AHA) which can increase your skin's sensitivity with sun, and also there's a possibility it cause a sunburn. To reduce this effect, I use this facial peel only once a week, and I just use it at night. But I still use SPF every morning to protect my skin from the sun light.

Overall, I just want to say this Ole Henriksen Lemon Facial Peel is a must have item for everyone, especially if you have a dry skin type. I'd said that it's the first product which can be used to exfoliate and hydrate at the same time that I found, and I like, and I will always repurchase it.

Cleansing, The Most Important Step on Your Skin Care Routine

It's really important to take care of your skin since from young ages. Full skin care routine is very needed to get a healthy and beautiful skin. Many people has different skin care routine to take care of their skin, depend on their skin problems. However, from many steps of skin care, there's one most important step that can't be missed. It's cleansing.

Cleansing more often considered as a not really important step in skin care routines. Usually people will be more focus on serum or cream usage. They think that applying skin care is the key to get a beautiful skin, but it's not. Cleansing is the most important step, that's why it always be the first step on skin care routine. Applying skin care on a dirty skin, only make your skin worse. No matter what, make sure you have a very clean skin before start to use your skin care.

To get a clean skin, you can't just wash it with a facial foam. Especially after using make up. You need to clean it with a few steps of cleanser (known as double cleansing) before start applying skin care. This is an example of double cleansing that I do everyday, with my favorite cleansing products.

1. Remove all makeup on your face
You can skip this step of you don't use any makeup on that day. However, if you wear a makeup, this step is really important to do. A simple cleanser will not clean your makeup properly. You need to use a makeup remover which contains a special ingredients to clean your makeup, even if it's waterproof type. I like to use Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover for this step, because unlike another makeup remover, the formula is very gently and clean my eye makeup perfectly.

2. Clean the whole face with your favorite cleanser
Before wash your face, you need to clean the whole face with a "special" cleanser. No matter you're wearing makeup or not, this step is a must things to do. Nowadays, there are several type of cleanser such as cleansing oil, cleansing water, or cleansing balm. You can use any type of cleanser based on what you need. If you have a dry skin type, you might want to use cleansing oil. However if you have an oily skin type, you might want to use cleansing water which contains no oil. Personally, I choose to use cleansing water instead if cleansing oil, even though I have a dry skin type. Because if I use cleansing oil as a cleanser, I feel my face is very greasy, and I didn't think it's a good idea to have an oily face after cleansing. For this step, I choose to use cleansing water from Laneige. I love this cleansing water because it really clean my face very well. And like other Laniege's products, this cleanser has a gently formula with a soft smell which makes me feel relax after using it.

3. Wash you face with a facial wash
Well, I think everyone will do this step because generally this step known as the only way to clean your face. I really understand it because it's really simple and even you can do it at the time when you're taking a shower. But sometimes people also skip this step because they thought after using cleanser, their skin is already clean. But it's not. Though you didn't see any makeup or dirt left after using cleanser, you still need to wash it with a facial wash and water, to make it really clean and feel fresh.

For this cleansing step, I choose Hada Labo Shirojyun Ultimate Whitening Face Wash. Hada Labo is a skin care brand from Japan. But this facial wash, is a product that produced by Hada Labo Indonesia. To be honest, it's really hard for me to get a perfect facial wash. I have a dry and very sensitive skin. Every time I washed my face, it felt very tight, even sometimes I felt hurt especially on cheek area. But, I don't feel any same effects with this facial wash. It cleans my face without make it dehydrated. It also doesn't contain any fragrance which is really good for a sensitive skin like I have.

4. Last step, facial toner!
When you're done with washing your face, it doesn't mean you face is totally clean. You need to do the last step of cleansing by using facial toner. There are 2 types of facial toner, for exfoliating and hydrating. Exfoliating toner is perfect for oily and acne prone skin type. Meanwhile, if you have a dry or dehydrated skin type, hydrating toner is a good option for you.

Honestly, I started to put facial toner into my skin care routine for these past few months. I just realized about how important facial toner is. The first toner that I used was Some By Mi 30 Days Miracle Toner , which works as an exfoliating toner. However, since using that facial toner made my skin getting dry, I decided to use a hydrating toner - Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner (will write a review about it soon).

That's all the double cleansing routine that I do everyday. Cleansing is very important for help you to get a healthy skin. By using this double cleansing routine, it will reduce appearance of blackhead, whitehead, and pimple. So, don't forget to double cleanse your face before get started with your skin care routine.

Bold Lip Color for Natural MakeUp Look

Basically, i'm a woman who likes natural make up. I always put a "no make up" - make up look everyday, even for an event at night. Nowadays, bold lip color become a trend. Many people like to use the dark lip color, even black!!! It's really weird, and i told to myself that i would never wearing lip color like that. However, i started to like a dark red lip color. It looks modern and glamour, very suitable for night out. But, everytime i go to the make up store, i always feel hesitated to choose the right color. I'm afraid if it doesn't looks good on me. How about if it looks "too much"?? That question always come out from my mind. I've tried that color on my hand, but still... i couldn't imagine a dark-red color on my lips. Sometimes i thought to try it on my lips, but i'm afraid if it's gonna ruin my make up!! Sounds silly??? With this feature, you can do a makeover on your lips, by trying any lip color (from a lot of brands on Sephora) that you liked, without ruin your make up. You also don't need to go to Sephora store (or any other make up store) only to try their lip color one by one to get the best one. It's really fun and easy to play with Sephora Virtual Artist. All you need only internet connection, and PC (or smart phone). With these 2 things, you can try and choose the lip color that you like, and see how does it look on your face.

How to use Sephora Virtual Artist?

1. Open https://virtual-artist.sephora.co.id/ from your PC or smartphone

2. Upload your photo. It's better if you upload your picture with make up. So you will see whether it's good with your make up look.

3. Move the dots to edit the outline of your lips. Make sure they're on the right spot to get the best result.

4. Now it's time to choose which color do you like. It will show you the name and the price of that lip color.

5. You also can compare between one color with another. Make it easier to choose the best shades.
