Before we ended this September, let me write 1 more post about Laneige products. But this time I will not just write a simple review as usual. Instead, I will compare 2 products from Laniege White Dew series, Tone-up Cream and Sherbet Cream. Keep reading girls ^^

Laneige White Dew Tone-up Cream and Sherbet Cream

If this is your first time with Laneige White Dew series, it'll be better if you read my review about Laneige White Dew Tone-up Cream, the first cream that launched together with White Dew series. I've written about this cream completely, so you'll understand about the function of Tone-up Cream. As the time goes by, lately Laneige just launched a new cream from that series, named Laneige White Dew Sherbet Cream. Some of you might be confused about these products. Well, let me help you to answer all of your questions.

What's the difference between Tone-up Cream and Sherbet Cream?
In simple words, Tone-up Cream, works as an instant whitening cream. After using this cream, you'll see the result just in seconds. The texture also very light, make it easy to blend. Even though it's claimed can hydrates your skin, I don't feel that way. Perhaps it's because I have a very dry skin and Tone-up cream is not designed to "fix" a dry skin problem. It's just work as a brightening cream - that's all.

Laneige White Dew Sherbet Cream

Meanwhile, Sherbet Cream has a very different texture with Tone-up Cream. It's very thick, and doesn't have any "color" - so it won't make your skin get brighter instantly. As you can see at the picture above, Sherbet Cream has a very rich texture, and yessss..... it's really hydrating. It's gonna be helpful to fix a dry skin problem as well. However, I won't recommend to use it in the morning, because the texture is too greasy. It will makes your face looks oily, even if you have a dry skin. That's why I use this as a night cream, to keep my skin hydrated during sleep at the Air Conditioned room.

Sherbet Cream vs Tone-up Cream

Are they really work as a whitening cream?
If you read my previous post about Laneige White Dew VIP Trial Kit, you'll know that the product from White Dew series that really gives a good result is the Original Ampoule Essence. I could see the brightening effect by using this essence only in 3 weeks. However, I won't say Tone-up Cream & Sherbet Cream are not showing a good result. I just finished my first jar for each cream, so I couldn't judge them. But, I just repurchased for them both, and I'll update it on my new instagram account @talkinboutbeauty for the result after finish the second jar. And a little tips from me, if you want to get a brighter skin tone faster, you might want to use the essence as well to boost up the whitening effect from the cream.

Which one is better? Tone-up Cream or Sherbet Cream?
You can't ask like that because they are completely different types of cream. But if you really want to try, I suggest you to try them both. Use Tone-up Cream in the morning to increase your skin tone instantly, and use Sherbet Cream at night to keep your skin moisturized.

After apply them on my hand. Can you spot the different?? The right side with Tone-up Cream looks brighter than the left side with Sherbet Cream.

Hi readers! It's been a while I haven't write about my culinary journey. Well, it doesn't mean I'm out from the world of culinary. I love to eat, so I'll never stop if it's about food :P This time I'll write about my favorite restaurant for Japanese food in Jakarta. It's not really new, but I would say this place serves the best sushi in town. To be honest, I never thought their food gonna be that delicious. First time I saw the pictures of this restaurant, I thought they only have a good presentation, but the taste is poor. But I was totally wrong. I'll write more about them below..

So, the reason we came to this place because I was craving for Japanese food, so much (Only people who ever visited Japan, will understand this feeling)..... At that time, I was craving for Gyukatsu Motomura, so badly. Suddenly I remembered nowadays, there are some Japanese restaurants in Jakarta have gyukatsu on their menu, and one of them is Sushi Hiro. Currently Sushi Hiro become the most popular place for Japanese food in town, and they have several branches. We came to their first place, which located at Pantai Indah Kapuk, West Jakarta.

We came on Sunday around at 5PM, and  they're closed! I was looking at the board outside the door, and found out they divide the opening hours into 2 sections, lunch and dinner. Well, it's kind of annoying to wait for around 30 minutes with my tummy rumbling. But it was also my fault coz I didn't check their opening hours before. However, my waiting time was paid by the delicious food they served.

Hiro Aburi Sushi - IDR 110K
It was the first dish that they served. Honestly, I wasn't in the mood for sushi. But since they known for their sushi which served on the wooden stairs, I decided to give it a try. Well, it wasn't bad, and even I would say it's delicious. The taste of the sushi rice was perfect, and also the topping which really fresh.

The second dish, for Ivan. Since we ate beef in Japan, Ivan becomes a beef-addict, especially if it's on Japanese food. Looking at this gyu don on the menu, he decided to give it a try, and add on Uni (sea urchin). Yumm!! We love uni, but it should be the fresh one. And again, Sushi Hiro nailed it..

Last, gyukatsu - the main reason why we're driving a little bit far only for had a dinner at Sushi Hiro. First impression, I was unsure about the taste because the breadcrumbs was too thick, and the meat also sliced too big. But after it's grilled, it wasn't bad at all - though it was different with the one at Gyukatsu Motomura. We really enjoyed it and even ordered 1 more to fulfill our craving.

Beside those dishes, we also ordered other simple sushi such as Tamago Sushi and Inari Tuna Sushi for kids (it's their favorite), and they also very tasty. At the end I would said that we really enjoyed our dinner at Sushi Hiro, and definitely will come back again for their sushi.

Before I start to write a review, let me tell you a short story about my activities at this week :

Lately, my children and I were sick. We got cold and a very bad wet cough. This condition made us only stay at home, and took a lot of rest. I didn't went out, only took care of my children, cooked healthy food, prepared a lot of medicines, and not forgetting to check their body temperature every 15 minutes because sometimes fever also came. Honestly, those days made me feel bored and it was very hard for me. All those "activities" was driving me crazy until I had no enough - good quality bedtime. However, when the kids were sleeping, I have a little bit time for take a rest. At that time, I opened my photos on the camera, and upload it into my instagram's feed. This time I still work on my pictures from the last summer trip to Canada. Well, you might think it's too late and weird because I've back to my home 2 months ago, and it's still unfinished. Well, I'm a perfectionist person, and I want my post looks perfect (not just the picture, but the caption too). And if you see my itinerary, you'll know that I didn't have time to do that during the trip. That's why I always post about my trip after back home.

Now you might be confused and wondering, "What's the connection between that story and the title of this blog post?". So, when I was looking at the gallery on my camera, I just found some photos about Laneige White Dew VIP Trial Kit, which I brought on my Bali trip. It was around 7 months ago and I just realized that I haven't write a review on my blog about these products. Now, let's start to read about this travel set.

If you ever read my older blog posts, you'll know that I always use Laneige White Dew Tone Up Cream everyday. Beside that, you also will know that I wanted to try another products from this series as well, to fasten the result and brighten my skin tone, permanently. When I was seeing a trial kit from this series, I thought it's the right time to try it. This trial kit consists of 2 products from White Dew series : Tone Up Cream and Original Ampoule Essence. Since I've written about Tone Up Cream, this time I only gonna write about the essence.

Laneige White Dew Original Ampoule Essence is one of a must product from White Dew series. This essence used after toner, and before day cream (or Tone Up Cream). Like other essence products, it has a transparant color. However, it has a gel texture, which made me think it's gonna hard to absorb. Because all I know, essence always comes in water (such as SK II Facial Treatment Essence). In fact, even though it has a gel texture, but it's very light, and easy to absorb. I really love it because I realized this texture can hydrate my skin.

First time I used it was in Bali, and I didn't see any result. Maybe because it's just 4 days, so I didn't feel any difference on my face. Next, I used it again for around 3 weeks on my summer trip to Canada, and I started to see the result. It hydrated my skin, and also make it looks brighter. The other things that I like from this essence is, it balanced my skin tone before using tone up cream, so my skin didn't looks pale. And the last, the brightening effect didn't disappear, even after I washed my face. I still could see my bare face  looks brighter and I satisfied with it.

Tone-up Cream vs Original Ampoule Essence

The result if I blend it together. It stilll unfinished, but as you can see, it doesn't have much difference with my skin tone.

Why I only use this essence while traveling, and not use it as my everyday skin care??
First, I still use other essence product at home, and I want to use it until finish to see the result. Second, I only have this essence on travel size which is very small, and it's perfect for traveling. FYI, I always bring a very light skin care products while traveling, and mostly on travel size. I hate to bring a full size skin care while traveling, because I know I'll buy more beauty products at that time, and I need a lot of space for that :P

However, after finish my current essence, I'll buy the full size of Laneige White Dew Original Ampoule Essence, because it had shown a good result and it's perfectly match with the Tone Up Cream.

Well, it's not a secret if duty free shop has the cheapest price. So everytime at the airport, I always spend more time to shopping a beauty products, both for skincare and make up. It also happened while I was having a layover on my last winter trip to Japan. I took flights using Thai Airways, which requires me to layover at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The layover time itself was quite long, so I used this time to explore more at duty free shop.

By that time I was looking at Laneige section, and found this package. At the first time I couldn't believe with what I saw. The price is very cheap for these whole products. Not just me who thought it's very cheap, but also other peoples next to me and they bought 3 boxes immediately. Actually I wanted to buy some boxes too because I always use Laneige products, and it's a good investment. However I have a limited space so 1 box was enough. • Eye Sleeping Mask ---> Not the cream one which is the newest product from Laneige. It's an eye cover that people usually use while traveling. But I don't like to use it, so I just gonna keep it.
• BB Cushion Pad (3 pcs) ---> It's a WOW, isn't it?? Don't you see the packaging, it was so cute.. And I really need all of them because Winston likes to play with my stuff and breaks everything..

Well, I'm not a fan of short hair, at all. However, lately I saw many women have a short haircut, without any layer, and it looks so simple. I was thinking to cut my hair at that length for months, but I didn't do it because I had a short haircut before (when I was about 12 years old), and I thought it's not looking good on me. Since that, I always have a long hair, and never think to make it short.

Before I went to summer holiday, I was planning to do a little "make over" to my hair, with a little bit hair cut and give them a bright color. However, the usual hair stylist who always cut my hair didn't come that day, and I met a new hair stylist (Yongki at Irwan Team Summarecon Mall Serpong). At that time, he gave me recommendation to make my hair short. He told me a short hair style is looking good on me, and it's making me looks fresh and younger. To be honest, he's the first hair stylist who said that. Before that, every hair stylist that I met always told me to keep my hair long. Suddenly I started to think about make it short, and yesss. It happened!!!

2 days after get a hair cut, I went to hair salon (again) to color my hair. This time I went to Habb Hair Gallery, because they have more options for hair color. At the first time, I only want to have a single bright color. But the hair stylist said that my hair was too dark, and if I want to have a bright color I need to bleach it. Actually, I never thought to bleach my hair again. I remember exactly how my hair got damage after the last time they got bleached to make it ombre. However he said that he only bleach some part of my hair (not all of them), only a highlight to give a bright effect. By doing that, it will reduce the risk of damage to my hair causes by bleaching.

At the end, here's the final look of my new hair style. Short, with little bit grey highlight on it. And to make this hairstyle looks better, I always curly my hair with GlamPalm Clipless Curling Iron Medium – GP 606 AM (25 mm). It's very easy to use, and I can make this natural - curly hair only in 10 minutes. I love it a lot, and I'm sure you'll do. Hi all, I'm back again with skin care review. If you follow my instagram, you'd see that last month I posted on insta stories, that I was going to do "30 days challenge" with Some By Mi. You might be curious about it, or some of you might be already know what it is about. Well, I gonna write a full  review about it on this post.

Lately, a beauty junkie are being excited with the newest skin care brand from Korea, Some By Mi. This brand really famous for their "miracle" products, 30 Days Miracle Toner and 30 Days Miracle Cleansing Bar. These products reclaims that they can give a "clean - healthy" skin, and you can see the result only in 30 days. WOW!!! Who's not interested with it?? I can guarantee it's every woman's dream to have a beautiful skin.

Knowing about the good benefit of these products, I decided to give it a try. But as a first step, I tried to use the toner first. To be honest, I never put toner into my skin care routine, until one day I realized how important toner is, and I decided to start using it. When I was looking for a good toner, I heard about 30 Days Miracle Toner, and I thought it's a perfect time to try it.

30 Days Miracle Toner contains AHA, BHA, PHA, and Niacinamide 2%. All of these ingredients known as a good ingredients to exfoliate dead skin cells, enlarged pores, and make your skin become acne free. Beside those ingredients, this Miracle Toner also contains "Real Teatree 10.000 PPM". With all of these ingredients, 30 Days Miracle Toner promising :
- remove acne, blackhead, and also whitehead
- exfoliate dead skin cells
- clean any excess sebum from pores
- brighten your skin

Honestly I always avoid to use skincare for acne prones, because it usually makes skin become dry. FYI, I have a very sensitive and dry skin. Otherwise, I never have a problem with acne before. However, since I got little bit problem with acne after used Natural Pacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence, and also this Miracle Toner can be used for all skin types, I keep go with it, and do this 30 days challenge to see the result of this product.

As you can see on the pictures above, this toner really works to brighten my skin. All the acnes also gone, without make any scar. I could see the good result of this product from the first time I use. Everytime I use it, it really removes blackheads especially on my nose area. Even though not all of them, but it still helps to clean my skin.

Does this product makes my skin dry??
I couldn't answer it in one word. At the first 3 weeks of usage, it wasn't make my skin become dry. It felt tight, but I thought it's still normal. After that, I had a trip to Canada, which has unpredictable extreme weather. Sometimes hot, and sometimes it could get much colder. This weather made skin all over my body became dry, including my face. At that time I was thinking this toner could make it worse, and stop to used it for a while, until I came back to Jakarta.
By that time my skin still very dry, but I decided to use this toner again. I thought it's gonna be different because I was back at Jakarta with its humid weather. It's been more than 1 week after I started to use it again, but my skin still dry and felt very tight. I have used other products to hydrates my skin such as Laneige Water Sleeping Pack and sheet mask, but it doesn't work.

Well, I'm not sure whether this toner make my dry skin condition become worse or not, but for now I decided to stop the usage of this Miracle Toner for a while. Meanwhile, I tried to use other toner specialized for dry skin type, and hopefully I can get my moist skin back. But from this challenge I could say 1 thing about this toner. "It does help to loose any acnes and other "dirt" on your face. It also make your face get brighter for sure. If you don't have any problem with dry skin, and you want to have a beautiful skin, this Miracle Toner is very recommended."

Lastly about this toner, some of you might be notice there are 2 types of packaging of this toner. You might think one of them is the fake one, but it's not!! Some by Mi just renewed the cap, but all the ingredients that they used still the same. Kedai Kokoho, Alam Sutera

If you're asking about what's happening food in town, I would answer it's a "Roti Nougat (Nougat Bread)". How about the drink?? Of course it's "Es Alpukat (Ice Avocado with Coffee)". Well, actually it's not a new thing. But I don't know some how, these food and drink become very popular and every entrepreneur try to build a new coffee shop or food stall for selling these mouthwatering dishes. Even though there are so many of them, there's 1 place that I like the most. It's Kedai KoKoHo.

Kedai KoKoHo currently become 1 of many popular coffee shops in town. They opened the first branch at Muara Karang, and after that they opened the second branch at Alam Sutera. What makes it popular and become my favorite??

1. They have 2 popular dishes "Roti Nougat" and "Ice Avocado Coffee" on their menu which become the most wanted item for everyone. Having these 2 items at 1 place, is really a good idea.
2. Actually they are not name it "Roti Nougat" like the others. At Kedai Kokoho, this delicious bread dishes called "Roti Gempal". However, it has the same taste, and even I would say it's more delicious.
3. Beside these 2 dishes, they also sell another comfort food such as "Indomie". Who doesn't like it??
4. They offer these delicious dishes with affordable price, perfect for a quick breakfast (or snack time??).

I was visiting this "kedai" at Alam Sutera for a breakfast. At that time I just ordered a few dishes because I just came with Winston and we couldn't eat a lot. And, yesss. I ordered their bestseller dishes, Roti Gempal and Avocado Coffee.

Roti Gempal Nogat 1/2 with Gandum (Whole Wheat Bread) - IDR 17K 

It was not the first time I ate Roti Gempal (Roti Nogat). I've ate it before, but I felt this one is more delicious. Starts from the bread (I asked them to use Whole Wheat Bread by add IDR 2K), and the toppings, especially the mocha cream. It taste really good especially when it's still hot. I just ordered it in 1/2 portion and I still couldn't finish it.

Not just the food, another good taste also comes from its drink, the Avocado Coffee. When I was ordering, they asked me whether I wanted it comes with espresso or not. Of course I want it. Lately coffee become a mandatory for me in the morning. It starts to become a habit for me to drink a coffee before I start my activity.

Back to this beverage, I was thinking they will mix the coffee and avocado together before they serve it, like other coffee shop do. But they don't!! It came separately between the "avocado juice" and the "espresso". I looked at the glass of avocado juice, and realized they put many kinds of chocolate for the toppings, such as chocolate sprinkle, chocolate powder, and also chocolate flavor condensed milk. Not forgetting a scoop of chocolate ice cream. OMG! It's a heaven for an avocado - chocolate lover, like me. I gave Winston a try before put the espresso in. And like I was expected, he likes it. When he enough with it, I poured the espresso in, and seriously, it's the best avocado coffee.
