Milan is one of many favorite cities in Europe for a shopaholic. As one of capital if global fashion, no wonder there’s a lot of famous shopping places in Milan. Usually, people (especially tourist) will go to Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II and the Golden Rectangle (which is made by 4 streets Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni and Via Sant’ Andrea) for shopping a luxury brand. Or maybe some of them will choose to just strolling at Via Torino street for a cheaper option. (Also read :
Cheap “Fashion & Beauty” Shopping Guide in Europe) These places become the most visited shopping spots by tourists because of the location which is close to the most popular landmark in Milan,
Duomo Cathedral.
But, i found another interesting (and famous) place for shopping which is located at
Porta Garibaldi, a neighbourhood for local. It’s 10 Corso Como. 10 Corso Como is a complex for shopping and dining in Milan, designed by Carla Sozzani. I found out about this place when i was looking for Manolo Blahnik store in Milan.
A little story about Manolo Blahnik. So, i really in love with Manolo Blahnik Hangisi, and i wanted to buy this shoes in Europe. That's one of many reason why i was planning a
Europe Trip, for shopping!! Because i know, Europe is a birthplace for high-end branded stuff, and the price will be cheaper than in Asia. I was looking for the store location of Manolo Blahnik from their
website, and found some stores in Paris, Barcelona. So when i was in
Paris, i went to
Printemps and looking for Manolo Blahnik. Unfortunately, they have a very limited stock and there's no my size. It also happened when i tried to find it in
Barcelona.
Well, Milan is the next city that i visited after Paris and Barcelona. And i tried my luck at 10 Corso Como. When i was hoping for a luck, i only want to get a pair of Hangisi with my size. But i got a "jackpot" here. It's a (last) pair of Hangisi, with my size, and it came in Fuschia, the color that i was looking for!! Another surprise for me was they have 50% discount for this shoes and the price become around €490. It was really the luckiest day for me.

10 Corso Como is a shopping place which looks like department store. They offer many brand, but it's not as big as other department store such as Galeries Lafayette or Printemps. However, the brand they have is a "unique" brand that's not easy to be found, such as Marcelo Burlon, Manolo Blahnik, Azzedine Alaia, and many more. Not just the international brand, but you also can shop for "10 Corso Como" brand itself.

Not just shoes, they also have the other fashionable stuff |
As i was saying before, 10 Corso Como not just a place for shopping. They also have a restaurant and it's really recommended. With a garden as their interior, this restaurant becomes a great place for enjoy your afternoon meal and chit chat with your friends. However, since i only have 2 days in
Milan, i don't have enough time to enjoy it. Maybe next time when i visit Milan again.
